🍁September🍁 symbolism is all about the change of seasons. This month also signifies refocusing on inner power. When you use your inner energy, you can achieve many goals in your life. Team ZEN is all about inner power and using it to make you feel and look your very best. Here’s what Team ZEN has been up to this month…..

🍁In partnership with the City of Alexandria, Salon deZEN hosted a training that addressed how salon & barbershop professionals could support victims of domestic violence. This educational event taught salon professionals how to recognize the signs and support those who may be in an abusive relationship. Team ZEN strives to make our salon space a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment. This training was a necessary step towards safety and understanding.

🍁 Since it’s officially Fall, don’t you think it’s time to “fall” back in love with your hair color? Maybe steal a little inspiration from all of the beautiful leaves that are changing colors and switch up your hue a bit. Colors that are stealing the show this season are warm red-brown, toasted caramel, rich Bordeaux, golden bronze, copper balayage, mocha brown, dimensional auburn, violet-red mahogany, chestnut brown, natural ginger, cherry cola, and strawberry blonde - just to name a few! 😜 We’ve decided that Fall is the season to have fun with your hair color! 🍁 Our beloved Salon Manager and Stylist Extraordinaire, Stephanie Marie, celebrated her 30th birthday this month!!! We are so excited to see what amazing things she will do in this new decade of her life. Happy 30th birthday to Stephanie!!! 🎂 🎉 🎈🍾💃

🍁 After a crazy successful Curl Cult Perm Training last month, ZEN is pleased to announce that we are now carrying their “cult”-worthy products! We especially love “Enhance - Moisturizing Curl Cream” for its magical ability to make curls more defined and bouncy. We also are big fans of “Magic Spell - Conditioning Leave-In.” This leave-in spray contains PisumProtex bond protection technology which provides hydration and maximum curl support. These products are perfect for maintenance of a Curl-Cult perm, but also work amazingly on naturally curly or textured hair.

🍁 And last but certainly not least, Salon deZEN has been selected as a finalist in the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce Small Business category for the 2022 Best in Business Awards, presented by Burke & Herbert Bank. The winner will be announced at an awards event on October 27th. We are honored and proud to be a finalist and thank every one of YOU who contribute to ZEN’s success! ❤️
