The mysterious wellspring of creativity, inspiration and impetuous can become blocked at various times throughout the course of our lives. We may feel stagnant or bored, simply unable to take action. How can small acts of re-creation help us clear out what is holding us back and cause the waters of our creative life to flow free?
It seems overly simple to think that trying a new hairstyle or buying a dress that is outside our normal comfort zone or switching our makeup to something more dramatic can spark true psychic, soulful change, but this is precisely what it can do. Intentionally attempting to stir up the still waters of our psyche can be the catalyst for real change, new inspiration. When we are deliberately and rigidly maintaining the same look we've always had, wearing the same clothes, eating the same foods, going to the same places, we are effectively cutting ourselves off form the potential for change, growth, and fresh eyes to view the world around us.
It's a good practice to try simple, new experiences with our hair, our fashion, our habitual routines a few times a year. It keeps us open to change, to dreams, to inspiration, to revelations.
